Open Positions

  • Position-1: A Post Doc position for development of Renewable Energy Management system for a field deployment project.[OPEN]
  • Position-2: A research fellow position for field demonstration of vehicle to grid charging from electric vehicles .[OPEN]
  • Position-3: A research fellow position for developing a hybrid Solar PV-low speed wind turbine system.[OPEN]
  • Position-4: A research fellow position for developing a specialised controller (hardware) for a 15 kW solar PV system.[CLOSED]
  • Position-5&6: Two research assistant positions for a project focussing on inertial support from hybrid wind-solar PV-battery system. This particular project task will focus on developing inertial controller for a hybrid solar-wind-battery system in simulation and hardware platform. The inertial controller prototype to be developed under this task is supposed to be ready to use in the field.[CLOSED]
  • Position-7: A joint PhD position between Monash University (Australia) and IIT Bombay (India) with joint PhD degree. The PhD position is open in the area of Artificial Intelligence application in large-scale grid integration of renewable energy[CLOSED]
  • Position-8: A research assistant (potential PhD student) for a project focussing on stable grid operation under high share of renewable energy. This specific task will focus on low voltage ride through performance (LVRT) of wind and solar PV power plants in a large scale renewable energy integrated power system. The project is in collaboration with Tamil Nadu grid operator and a wind power organisation, and the candidate is expected to work on operational model of Tamil Nadu grid.[CLOSED]
  • Position-9: A joint PhD position between Monash University, Australia and IIT Bombay, India with joint PhD degree. The PhD position is open in the area of large-scale solar PV integration into power system, with primary focus on grid stability [CLOSED]
  • Position-10: A research assistant (potential PhD student) for a project focussing on stable grid operation under high share of renewable energy. This particular project task will focus on some specific aspects of frequency and voltage stability of power system under high share of renewable energy. The project is in collaboration with Tamil Nadu grid operator and a wind power organisation, and the candidate is expected to work on operational model of Tamil Nadu grid [CLOSED]

Eligibility: Interested candidates with bachelor's in electrical engineering and Master's in electrical power may forward their CV to zakir.rather@iitb.ac.in Interested candidates with only Bachelor's degree, however, with excellent academic record may also apply. Experience in DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Matlab, Opal-RT, RTDS, Labview and DSP will be of added value.
